Freshen up your Instagram Feed with Pinned Posts! You can now select between 1-3 posts or reels to pin to the top of your profile.
Just like pinned posts on TikTok and Twitter, they’ll sit at the forefront of your Instagram grid as if you recently posted them. As shown in the image, you'll see a little pin at the top right once you've selected this feature. This will enable users to express their proudest or favorite moments at the top of their feed. This is awesome for both personal and professional brands. Pinning posts can express the creative range needed to appeal to your followers. For example, an event planning company would be able to pin three of their most popular events at the top of their feed for followers and potential customers to view. A small business could highlight their services, reviews, and staff.
So how does one go about pinning posts? This process is straightforward and only takes three steps.
Step 1: Select a picture from your feed. It can be any picture, ranging from any year!
Step 2: Click on the three dots in the top right corner of the picture.
Step 3: Select "Pin to your profile" from this list of choices, and you're DONE!
It is that simple! This easy task can genuinely change the whole vibe of your feed. Allowing users to have more control of their feed is something Instagram is striving to achieve. "Your profile is your space, so we're looking for more ways to give you control over that experience," said Instagram head, Adam Mosseri. Pinning posts is just the beginning!
